*When joining using Zoom, Google Meet or YouTube, the student's full name must be used.
*Names that are not familiar will not be granted access to join the live class from the waiting room. ALL students must be protected from potential cyber security attacks and imposters.
*All live classes are recorded and will be posted within 48 hours.
*The preferred device for viewing the live class is a laptop, PC or tablet. It can be viewed on a mobile but can be challenging for some students.
*It is mandatory that students turn on their cameras. Parents are to ensure that the student's cameras are on. Due to Internet bandwidth constraints by some students, they may have to turn off their camera when asking questions.
*Mics must be off, unless answering a question
*Students are expected to respond when asked a question in class, even if they don’t know the answer. (Some students use the excuse that their microphone is not working). Students are to pay attention to what is being taught in class. No other tabs should be open (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp etc.)
*If a student does not understand a topic or concept, they are required to ask in the Live Class either verbally or written. Parents are advised to check in on their students randomly when class is in progress.
*All assignments given in class are to be completed on time in order to be corrected and returned.
*A Live class can be cancelled because of electricity failure/Internet disruption/unforeseen emergency. This is very rare. If it does happen, work will be sent for students to complete or a make up session will be scheduled. *If a student is being disruptive or their camera is off and they are not responding to the teacher, the teacher can remove the student from that session.
*Students will not be refunded or discounted if they miss a class, all classes are recorded, therefore the student can simply log in to access the class that was missed.
*If a student is unable to attend a session or complete an assignment, the teacher must be informed by the parent.
*It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure students are on time for classes, their cameras are on and all assignments are returned via Google Classroom.
*Parents NEED to pay attention to the WhatsApp chat to ensure they receive all updates.
